There are days when even this Nine Cent Girl likes to let go of thinking, of words, of worldly concerns. What better time to start than while we are waiting for Spring? Instead of coming home and turning on the news or reaching for the wine, how about a few wonderful minutes when you set your radio dial to music you just have to move to? No matter what, just dance!
Most of us spend far too long sitting during our work day. Then we head home to more of the same. Even with my gym stopoff in between, my hours sitting are too long. And completely cerebral. And sometimes stressful. What better way to unwind and really start your evening enjoyably, than spinning about in pure sound. I recommend you turn-up whatever genre makes you the happiest, and let the sky be the limit.
Foxtrot. Waltz. Tango. Jazz. Lindy Hop. Mambo. Paso Doble. Swing. Square. Hustle. Two Step. Merengue. Disco. Freestyle.
Looking around for a great source of free downloadable music? My go-to is Stop Breath Bump. The Electronic Dance Music (EDM) genre is broad and inclusive and very danceable. But if you’re looking for something different, search out stations on Pandora or Spotify. iTunes. Create your own playlist. Music is everywhere, and always, and ready for you.
Plan your day’s end with a joyous celebration, kick off your shoes, break out your best moves, sing out loud, and cut a rug!
I’ve just joined spotify and songza love them both its opened up a whole new musical world π

I’m with you on this one. I was brought up singing billy Joel with a hairbrush with my mum in the mirror! My little children often dance around the living room in the nudies before the bath! It’s good for the soul whatever age I say.

Looooove this post. You’re right; we all need to stop be so uptight and let go. Dancing is freeing and I love to create my own moves. I don’t care as long as I’m enjoying myself. Thanks for sharing.
Cheers!
P.S. By the way, thanks for checking out my post. I’ll be back!!
