I hate hand guns, and the weapon industry that makes it seem like a good idea for citizens to own arms, but WTF?! “You can’t have guns. You can’t walk in with guns,” the president said about the cold-blooded public murder of an American VA nurse who carried a concealed and permitted SIG Sauer P320. Dear America, how, just how are you rationalizing an inept ICE, and a heartless Federal Response with all their subsequent lies to convince people not to believe what they just witnessed in Minneapolis, again. I can’t hold such horror in my mind and yet I can’t stop thinking of those families who now have an empty chair at their dinner table thanks to the undisciplined and criminal behaviors of this poorly trained yet heavily-armed-paid mercenaries. Where is your outrage? Where is your defense of the 2nd Amendment? What is you limit to the retribution agenda of your wishy-washy President? What happened to the rule of law? Are you too struggling as I am?

For me it’s the endless lies. Sure it’s the hypocrisy and the global embarrassment, but how are you dealing with the lies? You who waved the Trump flag after he incited an insurrection, who believed in a stolen election or his promise to help with food prices or home prices or job security, aren’t you all ready for a pause on his retribution rule?

Bottom line is too many aren’t. 53 Republican Senators are blindly doing his bidding, regardless of the outcome for their constituents, so why would I expect murder in the streets to change anyone’s mind? But I am struggling with how such obvious lies are swallowed without question by MAGA followers. Aren’t we all united to uphold unalienable rights such as life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness? These powerful words rest in the principles of Democracy alone. Not in what ever it is the current administration is doing.

It is pointless to bandy about which political party you align with or why. But quite seriously, it is now 85 seconds to midnight, and we are out of time for debating.

The Doomsday Clock just issued its yearly update, and yes, we lost another 4 seconds. Not hard to imagine thanks to the irresponsible and corrupt actions by the three biggest culprits hellbent on destroying our tiny Earth: Russia, China, and yes, the United States. What is spearheading our eminent doom you ask? Nuclear war, climate change, and the misuse of biotechnology. The consequences are sending us barreling straight into catastrophe. And yet, what are our elected politicians doing to back the clock up? The Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists certainly can offer hopeful suggestions, but will they be listened to by the likes of Putin, Xi Jinping, or Trump? Will any of the corporations backing each of these regimes persuade them to? In this Bernie and I agree, “Never before in history have we seen a billionaire class with so much political power. And never before have we seen this unprecedented level of greed, arrogance and irresponsibility.”
