Next Moves

I spend part of each day wandering, lost in my thoughts while I traipse atop a grand ridge. Sometimes in the cool of the morning mist or later in the sun-drenched heat of afternoon, but my favorite time to walk is when I catch the last burst before a dusky black lays upon the final moments of the day. There have been rattle snakes, coyotes, roadrunners and quail, even a bob cat, with multiple colonies of bunnies and an abundance of ground squirrels all passing along the foot path, but as I often stroll alone, I enjoy the company. Wandering is a common blog topic for me as I suppose like many writers I find the pedestrian occupation goes hand in hand with sorting out troublesome characters or plot lines or next moves.

Hauntings Part 3

Ready or not, here comes the final installment of Chapter 1. Just in case you are new to my blog, or have been out of the loop, scroll back two weeks and start at the beginning of the novel, working title, Mrs. Hendricks and Company. Here is the last of the beginning chapter. There is much I am still intrigued with and am sorting out but as I mentioned, both Mrs. Hendricks and this new ‘assistant’ of hers are most certainly haunting me until I get their story straight. Another perk, there are no politics here, only drama.

An Irish Goodbye

This California party had an end date all along, but we kept that tucked in the back of the drawer, and celebrated all the fun-shine that came our way for days and weeks. Family time fueled us in every possible way, except for the ability to say goodbye. So, we slipped out the back Irish style with a tall pile of deliciously joyful memories.
