Celebrate those you Love

If you haven’t recently celebrated any of your loved ones, I would suggest that is exactly what you do before day’s end. Why? Well, for starters, this fleeting life might be reason enough, but I’d say there are plenty among us worthy of streamers and praise and song with dance as an easy flourish.

I will start off in joyous celebration of two birthday twins. Uncle and nephew born under the sign of Virgo who share a special day this week: it is who they are that I celebrate. Of course, there is much time for the little one to show his own divine self, however, he has already revealed a sweet disposition. As for his Funcle, well, to know that guy is to love him: I have yet to find anyone who would dispute that fact. He’s a true summer peach, a misty forest, a fireball and a velvet sunset rolled into one delight.

Baby Magic

I know, I know, everyone has a baby somewhere who they adore, a long list of baby nieces or cousins or best-friend’s toddlers or even your own sweet one, but our family has waited a long, a very long time for the arrival of a new baby. It’s been decades. Needless to say, he has swept us all into baby magic with his adorable cuteness. Seriously, it’s impossible not to share our delight for this little sugar baby. Please indulge me, yet again, come along and see for yourself his sweetness!

Convalescing: Stage 3

How does anyone navigate healing? When you are sent home after surgery there is a feeling that you have been set adrift upon unknown waters. As I mentioned in my last few posts I am eternally grateful for the visiting nurse and the many check-ins from the hospital, but still, you are generally left wondering if you are doing what you should in order to fully return to your productive self. Now that I am just about one month on my recovery journey, I have discovered a few helpful tips, which I hope will help anyone who is convalescing after surgery or is on the road back from an injury, and these I will share.
