There’s no place like home, there’s no place like home, there’s no place like home…
Somewhere over the rainbow, way up high
There’s a land that I’ve heard of once in a lullaby.
Somewhere over the rainbow, skies are blue
And the dreams that you dare to dream,
Really do come true.
Someday I’ll wish upon a star
And wake up where the clouds are far behind me.
Where troubles melt like lemon drops,
High above the chimney tops,
That’s where you’ll find me.
Somewhere over the rainbow, blue birds fly
Birds fly over the rainbow
Why then, oh why can’t I?
If happy little bluebirds fly beyond the rainbow
Why, oh why can’t I?
Somewhere over the rainbow, way up high
There’s a land that I’ve heard of once in a lullaby.
Somewhere over the rainbow, skies are blue
And the dreams that you dare to dream,
Really do come true.
Someday I’ll wish upon a star
And wake up where the clouds are far behind me.
Where troubles melt like lemon drops,
High above the chimney tops,
That’s where you’ll find me.
Somewhere over the rainbow, blue birds fly
Birds fly over the rainbow
Why then, oh why can’t I?
If happy little bluebirds fly beyond the rainbow
Why, oh why can’t I?
Taking a stroll in my neighborhood, I am struck by the fact
that I live Somewhere Over the Rainbow… Perhaps we all do after all…
Yeah, there is no place like home!

That’s a lovely sentiment to bear in mind, Moira.
And, for some odd reason, I was thinking of Judy Garland just last night. Hmmmmm…..

Hi! It was so nice to be in the same pitch group with you at the Writers & Agents meeting on Saturday. And you looked GREAT on the Fox 44 news segment. I hope that your pitch went well and that we’ll see your novel in bookstores soon.

You are soooo right, there is no place like HOME! I wonder why some people take so many opportunities to escape from home when I see they really have a nice home!
Great to read the lyrics to this song…thanks!
